Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

MBTIThe Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences that determine how people perceive and operate in the world.

The theory of personality type proposes that while every individual is unique, there are real similarities and real differences that Carl Jung, the originator of this theory, called ‘personality type’. The value of Jung’s theory of personality type is that it allows us to expect and understand differences in people and provides insights into how we can constructively cope with those differences. As our understanding of ourselves and others expands, we are more able to deal with a wide range of personal and work based relationships.

Learning to understand your own and other’s personality preferences can be immensely valuable in the workplace. It can reduce time spent on unproductive work due to personality differences, enabling you and your colleagues to reach better decisions more quickly, and improve your enjoyment of work.

Our facilitators are trained in the use and interpretation of the instrument and are able to assist clients to understand MBTI results and apply it to various aspects of their working lives.
